ABOUT TONY
Tony Eastin is a Senior Strategic Risk Manager at Google and the co-founder of Risky Business Solutions, where he stands at the forefront of the battle for digital integrity. With a diverse background spanning Big Tech, the U.S. Air Force, and financial services, Tony specializes in anticipating complex threats, from AI-driven fraud to state-sponsored information warfare, and orchestrating the cross-functional teams necessary to neutralize them.
Tony’s professional journey began at age 18 with the Nevada Small Business Development Center (NSBDC). There, he developed business plans to support minority and veteran-owned enterprises, gaining an early appreciation for the intersection of community impact and economic growth.
While pursuing degrees in Psychology and Communications at UNLV, Tony simultaneously joined UBS Financial Services. As a Client Service Associate and Technical Liaison, he balanced rigorous academics with professional responsibilities, building a strong foundation in client relations and technical operations that would serve him throughout his career.
Commissioned as a Behavioral Scientist in the United States Air Force, Tony distinguished himself by bridging the gap between human performance and advanced technology. His service was defined by technical innovation in high-stakes environments:
As a Behavioral Scientist, Tony piloted the $5 million "Battlefield Air Targeting Man-Aided Knowledge" (BATMAN) program. He led the rigorous field testing of concealable body armor during Exercise EMERALD WARRIOR, directly increasing the safety and effectiveness of over 1,500 special forces operators.
While deployed in support of Operation INHERENT RESOLVE, Tony developed a novel flight randomization algorithm and threat tracking tool. This innovation allowed combat mission commanders to visualize over 600 surface-to-air threat events and adjust flight patterns, drastically mitigating risks for special operations aviation units.
Serving as an Installation Control Center Director in Kuwait, Tony orchestrated the Wing’s first "Deception in Support of Operations Security" plan, successfully safeguarding critical CENTCOM assets valued at over $1 billion.
As Flight Commander for the 57th Information Aggressors, Tony led elite intelligence fusion cells to replicate adversary tactics. His team’s weaponization of attack vectors during operational tests identified critical vulnerabilities, securing urgent upgrades to leading-edge weapon systems worth nearly $3 billion. For these efforts, he was named the 2019 Air Force Military Information Support Planner of the Year.
Corporate Trust & Safety Leadership Transitioning to the private sector, Tony brought this "adversarial mindset" to Meta, where he served as a Senior Safety Investigator. He played a pivotal role in safeguarding global election integrity and investigating complex influence operations. Today, at Google, he leads critical initiatives to secure the Gemini AI ecosystem, developing innovative red-team operations that protect the company’s reputation and its users.
A recognized voice in the industry, Tony is the co-author of impactful publications such as "The Digital Masquerade: Unmasking AI's Phantom Journalists" and "Information Warfare on United States' Citizens." Beyond his writing, he founded and moderates r/TrustandSafetyPros, a thriving community of over 1,600 professionals dedicated to advancing the field of Trust & Safety.
Tony holds an MBA with a STEM emphasis from UC Davis, alongside Master’s degrees in Strategic Public Relations (George Washington University) and International Security and Intelligence Studies (Bellevue University). An avid traveler who has explored over 80 countries, Tony brings a truly global perspective to every challenge he tackles.
